"Drawn By The Sea"

 My aim with this series of paintings was to capture the ways we are drawn to the sea. I visited some of my favourite beaches and harbours near Edinburgh, East Lothian and the East Neuk of Fife to gather ideas and inspiration. From wild swimming, sailing and kitesurfing to calmer pursuits such as dog walking, fishing and beach picnics, I sketched the many ways we connect with the sea and observed how this connection enriches our lives.
